I love books that have characters with past connections to each other. It’s what keeps me buying Harlequin/Silhouette books.


This book was no exception. Evan & Renae were friends who were attracted to each other in the past. Evan had his chance to declare his feelings and get the girl but he choked so she ended up with his best friend.

I actually felt bad for Evan. After Jason died, Jason’s mother treated Evan horribly because she blamed him for the accident. I can understand her feelings, but she went out of her way to make things difficult for Renae.

Overall, this book was a sweet romance between two people that were scared to admit their feelings for each other in the past.
