This was such an enjoyable book. It was a nice summer romance between two people that have known each other pretty much their whole lives. Kay had the biggest crush on James as a teenager so he’s always been her dream man. And inexplicably to her, he liked her too.
This book was sweet. It wasn’t angsty, there wasn’t a bunch of obstacles that kept them apart. It was a story about a girl and a guy that spend time together and start a relationship. That’s not to say that they didn’t have some issues, because they did. But they weren’t just plot devices to keep them apart.
It was extremely refreshing to read a book about two adults that actually behave as adults. Kay and James seemed like real people…people I could be friends with.
I would definitely recommend this book and I’ll definitely read more from this author. :)
